Invader!

Venus here -

Well, a lot has gone on around here since last we spoke. Our dad had the unmitigated gall to bring a new dog into the house! Just when we finally got our old one trained nicely, in comes a great galumphing galoot of a Dalmatian/Great Dane mix named Pluto. Dad thinks he's about 8 months old, but he's guessing 'cause he was a 'Pound Puppy' (I have no idea what that is!). All I know is he's a four-footed spotted tornado.

I've tried to make friends with him, honest I have, but he jumps and barks, so I have to hiss and yowl at him to teach him some respect.

A cat's work is never done.

    Dear Venus,

    you have my fullllllest sympathy!

Maybe he could be trained to fetch your pipe cleaners? He could also give you rides...

    Sincere regards, Agnes

    P.s. he's quite good-looking in a big-puppy kind of way...

    Dear Venus,

Can he open doors already? Then all you have to do is guide him to the right door...

    All the best, Agnes

    Hello Agnes -

With the kind of luck we've had lately, he'd just come back in again, maybe with another dog!

    Regards, Venus

    Dear Venus,

I can only BEGIN to assess the gravity of the (big) dog situation at your place...

What I had in mind was simply that he'd open the door FOR YOU. Can he be trusted with such a simple task?

    Regards, A.

    Venus,
We know how it is to have dogs around. That one that stayed here, finally left a couple months ago. We had gotten used to her, but it is nice that she's no longer gobbling up her treats and ours too!

We do have to admit that your new dog is quite attractive.

Dear Vee and Merc, Hope your training of Plute the Big Galoot is going well. Don't know when I'll be back in your kitchen with Cosmic Catnip Treats. Warmest regards to your siblings and Mommy and Daddy. Susan
