Comfort

Venus here -

Free of the stupid old collars, and having vanquished the squirrel with mind-power alone, we both enjoy a well-earned siesta. Did she really think those things were going to stay on for more than a day? We wore them for a while so she wouldn't feel bad, the poor thing, but as soon as we could decently do it, we ditched them.

Nice picture, cute cats, great message.

Hope your day is pleasent, though with cats like so it should not be so hard.

Around here, we all agree that these cats keep us cheery.

Thank you for visiting us. You are very lucky cats. We have had collars forever (we are 12 years old). I, Clover, got mine off and even lost the tag and the tacky bell. Without it I can walk ever so softly and sneak up on them. They don't like that so now I have this jingly Christmas collar with four, count them, four bells. Disgusting. My sister Chloe, just quietly wears hers and sits looking cross-eyed at them.

We don't see many squirrels. Our dog friend Max keeps them away, but we like butterflies and birds. (Just to watch)
    Sincerely,
    Clover

We got rid of our collars some time ago. Mom tries to put one on us, every now and then, but we talked her into getting Frontline to get rid of the fleas. We figure if we are flealess for a while, we shouldn't even have to have that stuff! We don't go outside. Well, Cotton and Mango don't. I try to get out, every chance I get.

    Dear Venus,

I think your human took a great deal of care in choosing your collars -- they seemed to match your fur quite nicely. So it was only kind of you to wear them for SOME time. But she could have realised that they made you feel, well, collared, so she could have just put them up, say, on the wall. Just for the artistic experience...

    Sincerely, Agnes

Very quiet PS to Alicia: doesn't Venus look all grown up and, ahem, filled out...?

I love my collar. In fact, after I had been away from awhile - at the spa as my mommy called it - when I got home, I picked up my collar and carried it to my mom to put it on me. It's the only way I feel like myself. I love my bell, too. It makes people take even more notice of me. I love being the center of attention. The only thing I don't like is I can't sneak up on my brother Milo with the darn bell. Oh well, at least I look cool.

P.S. You both look so content in your picture. I can't wait to snuggle with my brother like that again. Keep posting as my mommy loves to read your stories and see your pictures. Thanks

Color me slow, but I finally visited your blog without sitting next to you. Pix and captions are really good for laughs. V and M better not stray if they aren't wearing collars! I helped save a stray last week. Love, Tut
